The School Day

Kimpton, Thruxton and Fyfield Church of England Primary School operates an 'Early Bird' Breakfast Club from 8.00am when parents are invited to drop off their children. Breakfast Club costs £2.50 each day and, if breakfast is taken (a choice of cereals, toast, pancakes, crumpets, jam and fruit juices) then it costs £3.00. The club is offered free to those children who have been offered free school meals at any time in their primary education. If your child is, or has been, in receipt of free school meals at any time, please see the ladies in the office who will arrange this in privacy.

The Headteacher or member of Senior Management opens the school gate at 8.40am.  Children arrive and go straight to their classroom via the appropriate entry door.  All pupils must be in class by 8.55am when the register is taken.

Parents are requested to bring their children to school in plenty of time and to leave them at the gate to allow them to come into school independently.

During the Autumn term, Wrens (Year R) pupils can be taken to the classroom by parents from 8.40am so that they can settle in immediately. During the Spring and Summer term they can be left at the gate to come into school with other children and go directly to their class independently.
